In 1130, she held land in Oxfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshhire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, London, Middlesex, and Devonshire. She retired to the monastery of Afflighem in South Brabant, favored by her father and brothers, shortly before her death. She may have been educated at Afflighem. She is also called Adela.
